Gabriela Mendez’s illustration for a TV series in Colombia
Gabriela Mendez - a new member at the Art + Design & Craft Club - is a young Colombian Visual Artist who recently arrived in DC Metropolitan area. Her work is fresh, free and absolutely inspiring for young generation of artists from Latin America.

Her digital collage brings a new language, a way of communication, a subtle whistle which can’t be heard if we don’t stop, breathe for a minute and listen to it.

Sandra Pinheiros’ paintings.
Another new member of the Art club is also from Colombia and a really talented artist, Sandra Pinheiros.
Sandra enjoys oil paintings and also works with acrylic. It is impressive how big is the scale of her pieces on canvas!
We met her for the first time during our in-person workshop “Abstract Ink Drawings of Artifacts” with Irene Pantelis, last May and we can’t wait to see more art from her in the future!
