The Art + Design & Craft Club was created in 2019 at the headquarters of the IDB Family Association located in Bethesda, MD. This club is intended only for IDBFA members, and participation is free. The Art Club has been meeting on Fridays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Art workshops  will be in-person at the IDBFA and there will also be a virtual option for those who can’t join us physically at the same time.  There will be limited entry, so you need to sign up if you want to attend.

Each month we propose a different theme to inspire our creations.  In special occasions, we invite professional art instructors, who are experts in techniques we are interested in. We learn from them, and then we continue practicing by ourselves. 

We also encourage our participants to share their own knowledge in painting, art theory, fashion, or any hand-crafted skill. Participation is voluntary, and we hope to empower our members to practice their teaching skills and team work. 

At our meetings you will get the chance to know other members of the IDB Family Association who share a passion for art. Being part of the club also provides an opportunity for you to practice your art and English skills in a relaxing atmosphere, since a lot of members are Spanish speakers. We inspire and respect each other with our work, and that is what keeps us moving forward.
