Paving the way to our next exhibition

By Gabriely Simette

On Friday, March 15th, our group had another fun Open Studio day, where we had the chance to practice and combine xylography and watercolor techniques. It was a fun and creative gathering where everyone had the opportunity to experiment with printing using carved pieces and painting with watercolors. Together, we explored how to blend these two different methods to create unique and exciting artworks.

We were happy to see Monica who passed by “in loco” to say hello.

Then, on Friday, March 22nd, the art club gathered and kicked off work for the upcoming exhibition! The theme of our artworks centers around nature, featuring representations of plants and animals.

In April, we are planning two Fridays of Open Studio in DC to begin developing the new exhibition for the art club. Stay tuned for emails and announcements! Let’s keep encouraging people to participate and get excited about the upcoming events.
