Exploring Techniques and Urban Themes

By Gabriely Simette

Fany’s artwork using watercolor and ink

Last Friday, after one week of the amazing class with Irene Pantelis our group came together for an exciting session focused on practicing and experimenting with watercolor.

During our session, Fany shared her knowledge with the other participants, reviewing some techniques already learned in the past. Wet on Wet, Wet on Dry. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore and let our creativity flow freely using a variety of types of watercolor paint, including paste, tubes, and pencils.

We also found joy in creating “characters” and “buildings” as practice for urban environments, considering that nature and flowers are always our recurring themes.
