Art Beyond Borders

Last Friday, our Art Club had the pleasure of hosting Irene Pantelis, an accomplished artist and professor at the University of Maryland, for a thrilling workshop on ink and watercolor techniques. This marked Irene's third visit with us, and each time, she brings fresh insights and inspiration.

This time around, we went deeper into the fascinating world of watercolor. Although some of us were initially hesitant about incorporating this medium, Irene's guidance encouraged us to embrace experimentation and push our creative boundaries. From gardens, cactus and succulents compositions in vibrant bursts of color, our group fearlessly explored the possibilities, resulting in a collection of playful artworks.

Additionally, we had a hybrid participation with online attendees such as Deidra from Guatemala, Monica from Uruguay, Fany, Camila Lazo and Eliane, who joined us to interact. This inclusive spirit has always been at the core of our group - integrating people through art regardless of their location. Art transcends borders and brings us together in meaningful ways.

With Irene's expert instruction and our newfound confidence, we're excited to continue pushing the limits of our creativity and fearlessly embracing new challenges in our artistic journey. Stay tuned for more adventures in ink and watercolor!
